What is a conversation?
With the WhatsApp Business Platform (API), businesses are charged based on customer conversations. A conversation starts when a business sends a message, triggering a 24-hour window for that specific category. Messages within the same category during this window are covered under the same charge. However, sending a message from a different category starts a new 24-hour window, incurring an additional charge. After the 24-hour window ends, any new message—regardless of category—initiates a new conversation and incurs a separate charge.
