Create from Lead Automation → Event-Based Automation → Create Automation.
How it runs
A daily job sends matching event messages. The detail page shows the next automation run time (around 10:30 AM India time).
- 1 On each run, contacts in the audience who match today’s event (holiday/festival/custom date, or their birthday/anniversary) receive the template once for that occurrence.
- 2 Birthday/anniversary dates that already passed this year schedule for next year.
- 3 There is no reply-based stop — control sending with Active / Inactive on Edit.
- 4 Detail page shows Ran Today / Pending, Last sent, and send history/schedule.
Manage Event Automations
Hub list: Your Event-Based Automations. Dedicated index: Event Automations.
- 1 From the hub: View, Edit, or Delete (activate/deactivate via Edit → Activate this automation immediately).
- 2 Open Event-Based Automation Details for next run time and send history.
- 3 Keep contact DOB and anniversary fields filled for birthday/anniversary event types (see Contacts / custom fields).
Tips
- Always verify holiday and festival dates before going live.
- Personalize with contact fields; target groups or tags instead of blasting everyone when possible.
- Past custom dates will not send retrospectively for this year — they move to the next valid occurrence.
