Overview
- 1 Open Home → UpScaleUp.io Growth Tools → Google Maps Extractor → View packs or Open tool.
- 2 Choose a contact pack (1,000 / 2,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 contacts) → Buy pack → Checkout → Proceed to Payment.
- 3 On the tool page, click Download extension, unzip the zip, then in Chrome: Extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → select the folder.
- 4 Stay logged into UpScaleUp.io in that browser, click Open Google Maps, run a search, and send results with the extension.
- 5 Review Import history on the tool page and find new contacts in Manage Contacts (often auto-grouped by search).
Step by step
Buy credits, install, import
Credits are one-time packs (not a monthly Maps subscription). Your main plan must be active.
Contact packs & how credits work
Checkout uses Select Contact Pack. Credits last 12 months from purchase and are used oldest-first (FIFO).
- 1 Packs: 1,000 contacts, 2,000 contacts (often Popular / Most Recommended), 5,000 contacts, 10,000 contacts.
- 2 New imports charge one credit per contact added. Meaningful updates to an existing match (name, phone, notes, or group) also charge one credit. Unchanged duplicates are skipped free.
- 3 Duplicates are matched by Google Place ID or phone (including a last-10-digit fallback). Ambiguous phone matches are skipped.
- 4 Import history columns: When, Search, Imported, Updated, Charged, Skipped, Group — use Charged to see what used credits.
- 5 Stats on the tool page: Contacts left, Imported, Imports run, Next expiry. Top up anytime with Add more contacts → Buy pack.
Chrome extension
Extension display name: UpScaleUp.io Maps Extractor. Download needs an active plan and remaining contact credits. Load via Chrome Developer mode (Load unpacked) — not the Chrome Web Store.
- 1 Chrome extension steps on the page: Download & unzip → Load in Chrome → Search & send.
- 2 Without credits: tool status shows No credits; extension panel says Extension locked until you buy a pack, with Buy pack to unlock.
- 3 When an Update badge appears, remove the old Maps Extractor from Chrome first, then Download new extension / Download update so you do not run two copies.
- 4 Zip name pattern: upscaleup-maps-extractor-v{version}.zip.
Import rules & limits
Imports land in Manage Contacts for campaigns and inbox.
- 1 Maximum 2,000 contacts per import request.
- 2 A phone is required to create a new contact; the extension can also filter by website or minimum rating.
- 3 You need permission to create contacts (and full phone visibility) for imports to succeed.

Tips
- Auto-group by search keeps each Maps query organized for campaigns (group name like Maps · {query}).
- Out of credits in the extension: No contacts left in your Maps Extractor pack. Buy another pack…
